MR's brother Chandra Rajapaksa passes away

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Chandra Rajapaksa, younger brother of the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa passed away today (Aug 21st) at the age of 70. Chandra Rajapaksa, a father of one, is the son of D.A. Rajapaksa and Dandina Dissanayake. He was a brother for eight siblings including Basil Rajapaksa, Chamal Rajapaksa, Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Preethi Rajapaksa. The remains of this renowned planter are placed at their Madamulana house in Tangalle for the public to pay their last respects. The News1st correspondent in Tangalle noted that Chandra Rajapaksa passed away while receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the Tangalle hospital for an ailment.
