COLOMBO (News 1st) – The train strike that was scheduled to be launched at midnight (July 30) has been called off.

President of the Railway Station Masters Association Janaka Fernando stated that the strike was called off following discussions with Minister (Dr.) Sarath Amunugama.

The train strike was organized by the railway supervisors, controllers and drivers to protest against salary anomalies.
