) - Raigam Tele Awards 2017 got underway at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre today (March 24) evening.

TV1 presenter Bernadine Jayasinghe won the award for Best English Presenter for Business Bureau.

TV1 Sinhala News producer Nuwan Chathuranga won the Jury's Award for Investigative Journalism for his report on VIPs being moved to the Prison Hospital.

The award for the Best Sports program was won by Sajith Govinna who is involved in the News 1

“Gamta Kreeda” program.

Further, Pentathalon season 02 that is aired on Sirasa TV won the award for the Best Quiz Show for the year 2017.
