Gammadda Builds New Hope for Puttalam School

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A fully equipped building constructed by Gammadda is being handed over today to the students of Lokananda Maha Vidyalaya in Kiwulakale, Kottukachchiya, Puttalam.

The project aims to provide better facilities for students who continue their education despite numerous challenges.

Lokananda Maha Vidyalaya has long faced a shortage of classrooms, making it difficult for both students and teachers to conduct academic activities.

With insufficient space, students have at times been forced to study under the shade of trees.

The situation was further worsened when a fire recently destroyed a classroom in a temporary building roofed with coconut fronds.

The new building is being provided following a request made to Gammadda by the school's Principal, addressing a long-standing need of the students.
