Minister Nalinda Jayatissa Speaks On Possible Date For 22nd Amendment Debate

COLOMBO (News1st);Parliamentary debate on the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution Bill will be held at the end of next month or early October, according to Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.

The minister made this statement while addressing a public meeting in Kalutara area.

Attorney-at-Law Harshana Nanayakkara, said that the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution Bill was presented to Parliament on the 18th of this month by the Minister of Justice and National Integration. 

Several petitions challenging as well as supporting the 22nd Constitutional Amendment have already been filed in court.
