Gammadda’s New Bridge Brings Relief to Wilgamuwa Villagers

COLOMBO (News1st); A new bridge connecting the villages of Godaulpotha and Himbiliyakada in Wilgamuwa, Matale, will be officially declared open to the public today under the Gammadda initiative.

Gammadda first identified the urgent need for a bridge connecting these two communities during its door-to-door initiative in 2023. 

Fulfilling a long-standing need, the foundation stone for the new bridge was recently laid, with contributions from Speedmark Transportation Lanka.

For generations, villagers faced immense hardships crossing the Atambe Ela stream. Today, a bright new chapter begins for their community.
