Late Veteran Singer Nanda Malini’s Funeral Arrangements Announced

COLOMBO (News 1st): The mortal remains of Visharada Dr. Nanda Malini will be placed at the Nanda Malini Music Academy on Wijayaba Mawatha, Nawala, in Nugegoda, from 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, to allow the public to pay their final respects.

The funeral is scheduled to be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, 22nd August, at the Borella Cemetery.

The Veteran singer, widely regarded as an iconic figure in Sri Lankan music and a leading voice in the country’s tradition of refined Sinhala music, passed away this evening at her residence in Nawala. 

Dr. Nanda Malini, who had been ill for a short period, passed away at the age of 82.
