Samithpura Chathu Reveals How He Left Sri Lanka After Ganemulla Sanjeewa Assassination

COLOMBO (News 1st); Investigators have uncovered that Dimuthu Chathurangana, alias Samithpura Chathu, who is currently being held in detention custody, allegedly left the country using a forged passport following the murder of underworld figure Ganemulla Sanjeewa.

According to information revealed during questioning, the suspect told investigators that after going into hiding following the killing, he was provided with a fake passport by organized crime figure Kehelbaddara Pathme.

The suspect has allegedly confessed that he subsequently used the forged travel document to leave the country.

Police also stated that Samithpura Chathu had disclosed that Julian Madhavan was recruited to direct murder suspect Ishara Sewwandi and the gunman connected to the Ganemulla Sanjeewa murder case, to the court room where the crime took place.

According to investigators, the suspect further claimed that these arrangements were carried out on the instructions of Kehelbaddara Pathme.
