COLOMBO (News 1st) - Investigations have revealed that Shiran Basik, a major drug trafficker who is currently in custody, had undergone training to fly helicopters in Dubai.
Police stated that during questioning, he had claimed his stake at five hotels along Marine Drive in Colombo.
The Colombo Central Crime Investigation Bureau is conducting investigations into the suspect under a 72-hour detention order.
Shiran Basik, who had fled Sri Lanka and been hiding in Dubai, was arrested and deported to Sri Lanka.
He was subsequently brought back to the island on Friday night (14).
The 48 Year Old suspect is a resident of Dehiwala.
