Grade 5 Scholarship Results Expected Within A Month; GCE A/L Examination Begins Tomorrow

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage, says that plans are in place to release the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination results within a month.

The Grade 5 Scholarship Examination was held today at 2,723 centers island-wide.

The number of candidates eligible to sit for the exam was 294,089.

Meanwhile, the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination is scheduled to commence tomorrow and continue until September 5 at 2,532 centers across the island.

A total of 372,310 candidates will sit for this year’s examination.

The Commissioner General of Examinations emphasized that candidates must have their signatures certified on their admission cards prior to arriving at the examination hall.
