No Power Tariff Revision for Q3 2026 - PUCSL

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has decided that no electricity tariff revision will be required for the third quarter of 2026 following a review of the electricity supply cost projections submitted by the National System Operations (NSO).

The Commission said its decision was reached after assessing the projected cost of electricity supply for the third quarter and determining that, after all required adjustments, the increase in electricity supply costs would be limited to just 0.3 percent, equivalent to approximately Rs. 417 million.

As a result, the electricity tariff structure that was in effect during the second quarter of 2026 will continue unchanged throughout the third quarter.
