Dengue Cases Drop by 18%

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Dengue Control Unit states that dengue cases have decreased by approximately 18% compared to the previous week.

The total number of dengue cases reported in the country stands at 85,364.

The highest number of dengue cases continues to be reported from the Gampaha, Colombo, and Kandy districts.

The total number of reported Dengue deaths is 62.

Meanwhile, the National Dengue Control Unit announced that instructions have been given to implement mosquito eradication programs in schools used as examination centers prior to the Grade Five Scholarship and Advanced Level examinations.
