Gammadda Re-Build Programme Enters Second Day In Matale

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Gammadda Re-Build program, aimed at uplifting the communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah, is being held for the second consecutive day today at the Matale Technical College 

The initiative is being implemented by Gammadda with the full support of Australia's Minderoo Foundation.

The programme is being carried out jointly by the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA), the Department of Technical Education and Training, and Gammadda.

In the immediate aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah, the Sirasa -Shakthi Sahana Yathra relief mission provided emergency assistance to affected communities, offering vital support to thousands of people during a time of crisis.

The next step was helping those affected rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

It was with that objective that Gammadda Care and Dare was launched.

Now, as the third major step in Gammadda's effort to support a nation on the path to recovery, Gammadda Re-Build is being implemented.

Aimed at restoring livelihoods and enhancing vocational skills, the programme will provide selected beneficiaries in the Matale District with training in masonry, carpentry, electrical work, metal fabrication, garment design and several other technical fields.
