26-Year-Old Youth Killed in Nawagamuwa Shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st);A young man has been killed following a shooting in the Wandurabumulla area of Nawagamuwa.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:30 PM last night.

Police stated that the injured youth was admitted to the Homagama Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.

The victim was a 26-year-old resident of the Kaduwela area.

Initial investigations have revealed that the shooting was carried out using a pistol.

Investigations are currently underway to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for the shooting.
