Former State Minister Jagath Pushpakumara Arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former State Minister Jagath Pushpakumara has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in connection with an ongoing corruption investigation.

The arrest was made as part of a probe being conducted by the Bribery Commission into allegations of corruption involving the former State Minister.

Authorities said the suspect is expected to be produced before the relevant court following his arrest.
