'Tax Power 2026' National Tax Week Begins Today (06)

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Inland Revenue says the 'Tax Power 2026' the National Tax Week begins today.

Commissioner General of Inland Revenue Nandana Kumara said a series of programmes will be implemented during the week aimed at bringing a change of perception among the public regarding tax payment.

Accordingly, he requested all Tax Payers to file Tax Returns if not submitted yet. 

To complete Tax Registration if not done yet. 

He stated that the main motive of 'Tax Power 2026' National Tax Week is to create a change in perception towards Tax Culture where Tax Payers pay their dues voluntarily without considering the payment of Taxes as a burden.
