COLOMBO (News 1st) -According to the National Transmission Network Service Provider (Private) Limited A 250-megawatt solar battery storage system is set to be brought in to Sri Lanka.
It's Chairman Dr. Pradeep Perera says the battery storage system is planned to be installed at 19 substations across the island.
He noted that through this, it is expected to reduce expenditure on Diesel and fuel used for power generation.
Dr. Perera added that the resulting cost savings could pave the way for relief measures to benefit consumers in the future.
