PM Harini Meets UK Ministers During Official Visit

COLOMBO (News 1st): Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, who is currently on a visit to the United Kingdom, is scheduled to meet the UK Foreign Secretary and the Secretary of State for Education today.

The Prime Minister's Office stated that she is also scheduled to hold a discussion with education experts from the British Council.

Yesterday, the Prime Minister attended the 60th anniversary conference of the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex.

Addressing the anniversary conference, the Prime Minister stated that politics is not something that can be separated from development.

The Prime Minister further expressed that every choice and decision made in governance is shaped through it.

The Prime Minister departed for the United Kingdom on an official visit the day before yesterday.
