COLOMBO (News 1st); Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe announced that Sri Lanka’s foreign reserves are set to receive a significant boost in the coming weeks, supported by international financial inflows.

He stated that by the 27th of this month, approximately US$700 million will be added to the country’s reserves following the approval of the fourth and fifth tranches from the International Monetary Fund.

In addition, around US$250 million is expected to be received by July from the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank under ongoing programmes.
