Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee Holds First Meeting

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee convened for the first time today (6) under the chairmanship of Eran Wickramaratne.

According to our correspondent, all members of the committee attended the inaugural meeting, with the exception of former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara.

Sangakkara, who is currently engaged in the Indian Premier League (IPL), is expected to assume his responsibilities in the committee after the tournament concludes.

During the meeting, the committee moved to establish separate committees focusing on cricket operations, administration, and procurement.

Key matters on the agenda of the meeting included the appointment of Sri Lanka’s director to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the selection of an alternate director to the ICC, and the appointment of a director to represent Sri Lanka at the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
