COLOMBO (News 1st): Russian Deputy Minister of Energy, Roman Marshavin, is scheduled to arrive in the island today following an official invitation from the Sri Lankan government.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that a discussion is set to take place between the Russian Deputy Energy Minister and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando.
Following this, the Russian Deputy Minister is also scheduled to meet with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today.
It is noted that several discussions and agreements are planned during these meetings to help Sri Lanka overcome its energy crisis.
After the relevant discussions, he will attend a dinner tomorrow with the Foreign Minister and the Deputy Minister.
The Deputy Energy Minister is scheduled to depart for Russia on the 28th.
