CID Arrests Two Suspects with Firearms in Payagala

COLOMBO(News 1st); The Criminal Investigation Department has arrested two individuals in Matiyamulla, Payagala during a raid, seizing foreign-made revolver firearms and ammunition.

Officers from the Homicide and Organised Crime Investigation Division of the CID recovered two revolvers, 10 rounds of ammunition, a handcuff, and a key during the operation.

The arrested suspects, aged 55 and 61, are residents of Payagala and Kalagedihena.

Further investigations are ongoing.
