Fans are flooding into the heart of Seoul as global K-pop sensation BTS makes a highly anticipated return to the stage after nearly two years.
An estimated 260,000 fans are expected to gather at Gwanghwamun Square on Saturday, where members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook will perform together for the first time since October 2022.
Set against the iconic Gwanghwamun Gate — a historic 14th-century gateway to the royal palace — the one-hour concert will feature tracks from their long-awaited album Arirang, released just a day earlier.
The comeback marks more than just a musical return. BTS has long been a driving force behind South Korea’s global cultural influence, blending chart-topping hits with powerful performances that have reshaped the global music scene.
While only around 22,000 lucky fans secured free tickets to enter the main concert zone, millions more worldwide will tune in as the show is streamed live on Netflix.
