COLOMBO (News 1st); A fuel shipment carrying 35,950 metric tonnes arrived at the Port of Colombo last night.
The vessel contains 14,500 metric tonnes of Octane 92 petrol and 2,850 metric tonnes of Octane 95 petrol. In addition, the shipment includes 18,600 metric tonnes of diesel, according to the CPC.
The fuel tanker arrived in Colombo from Singapore.
Meanwhile, the CPC stated that additional fuel shipments are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on the 21st, 22nd, 29th, and 30th of this month.
The Corporation confirmed that all required fuel stocks have been ordered to meet the country’s needs until the end of April.
CPC Chairman said the fuel consignments will be procured based on prevailing prices at the time of unloading, ensuring cost considerations align with market conditions.
