Kuliyapitiya Helmet Assault: Suspect Arrested After Video Goes Viral

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police have arrested a suspect accused of assaulting a man with a motorcycle helmet during an incident at a roundabout in Kuliyapitiya town.

According to police, the incident occurred when the suspect, who was riding a motorcycle, violated traffic regulations enforced at the roundabout by proceeding forward against the established traffic rule system in operation at the location. When another individual objected to the rider’s actions, the suspect allegedly attacked the person using his motorcycle helmet.

A video recording of the assault was subsequently circulated widely on social media, drawing public attention to the incident.
