COLOMBO (News 1st): Dharmayuddhaya 2 has officially become the highest-grossing film in Sri Lankan cinema history, achieving this milestone solely through domestic ticket sales.

Since its island-wide release on January 23rd, the film has taken the industry by storm. Within just 10 days, it earned a record-breaking 100 million rupees, and continued to draw audiences with remarkable consistency, generating an additional 100 million rupees every 10 days.

In just 50 days, Dharmayuddhaya 2 crossed the 500 million rupee mark, setting a new benchmark for Sinhala cinema and becoming the first film in the country to reach this milestone solely from local ticket sales.
