Six Suspects Detained Following Major Drug Bust off Southern Coast

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police have announced that a seven-day detention order has been obtained to interrogate six suspects arrested with a massive haul of narcotics in the seas south of Sri Lanka.
The suspects were intercepted by the Sri Lanka Navy aboard a multiday fishing trawler.
Authorities recovered over 103 kg of narcotics hidden within the vessel.
Investigations revealed that the group had set sail from the Galle Fisheries Harbour approximately 20 days ago.
