COLOMBO (News 1st); The Supreme Court has decided to dismiss, without a hearing, two Fundamental Rights (FR) petitions filed alleging that the emergency regulations imposed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake following Cyclone Ditwah violate fundamental human rights.
The verdict was delivered by a three-judge Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena.
