Accordingly, strict action will be taken by the government to prevent businesses from creating artificial crises or harassing consumers for unfair trade gain.
Meanwhile, The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has launched investigations into traders who are hoarding gas stocks.
CAA Chairman Hemantha Samarakoon stated that immediate legal action will be taken against traders who hoard stocks to create an artificial shortage.
