Five Suspects, Including Wife and Son of "Makandure Madush," Arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st); Five suspects, including the wife and son of the late organized crime figure Makandure Madush, have been arrested in Maharagama.

The arrests were made in connection with the assault of a police constable.

According to police, the constable had allegedly maintained an illicit relationship with Madush’s wife.

Police further stated that during a birthday celebration at her residence, Madush’s wife, his son, and several others had assaulted the constable.

The injured constable is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital following the attack.
