Public Veneration of India’s Sacred Sarvajña Relics at Gangarama Temple Starts the Day After Tomorrow

COLOMBO (News1st): Sacred Sarvajña Relics, discovered at the ancient Buddhist archaeological site of Devnimori in Gujarat, India, will arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow, marking a historic first-ever departure of these revered relics from India.

The relics will be enshrined for public veneration from the day after tomorrow at the Hunupitiya Gangarama Temple in Colombo.

The Holy Relics, presently enshrined at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, will travel to Colombo for a public exposition, leaving India for the very first time.

The Holy Relics will be accompanied by a high-level Indian delegation led by Shri Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat, and Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, along with senior monks and officials. 

The exposition of the Sarvanna Relics will begin at 6:00 AM the day after tomorrow and will remain open to the public until 7:00 AM on the 11th of this month.

The relics will be available for worship 24 hours a day throughout the exposition period.
