STF Nabs Key Link to ‘Panadura Salidu’ Drug Network

COLOMBO (News 1st); A close associate of an overseas-based narcotics trafficker has been arrested with heroin in the Panadura area.

The Police Special Task Force stated that 126 grams and 650 milligrams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the 43-year-old suspect.

The Special Task Force further revealed that the arrested suspect is the individual responsible for carrying out narcotics operations in Sri Lanka on behalf of “Gayya,” the principal overseas lieutenant of “Panadura Salidu,” a large-scale drug trafficker and organized criminal currently residing abroad.
