Final Rites Of Singer Raju Bandara to be Held Today

COLOMBO (News 1st):The funeral of veteran singer and musician Raju Bandara will be held this evening at the Borella General Cemetery.

His remains are currently lying in state at a private funeral parlour in Borella.

Raju Bandara, who had been ill for some time, passed away on Thursday at the age of 65.

Born in Kegalle on April 14, 1960, he was a gifted guitarist and a respected figure in Sri Lanka’s music scene.

He made a lasting mark in local music and was a regular member of popular bands such as Madara and Fortune.
