Police Seize Ammo Cache and Knives in Ratmalana; Two Suspects in Custody

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two employees of a concrete manufacturing plant in Ratmalana have been arrested in possession of a stock of ammunition.

The Police stated that the ammunition was discovered inside lockers belonging to the suspects at their residential quarters.

Among the items recovered were 07 T-56 live bullets, 02 T-56 empty casing shells, 01 T-56 training bullet, 17 9mm live bullets.

In addition, police also found two knives inside the suspects' lockers.

Further investigations regarding the suspects are currently underway.
