Air Pollution From India Lowers Air Quality Across Island

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Building Research Organization says air quality in several parts of the island remains poor today, due to polluted air drifting in from India.

Senior Scientist at the Environmental Division of the National Building Research Organization ,Sarath Premasiri, said that sensitive individuals should remain vigilant under the current conditions.

However, he added that the situation is expected to gradually improve from this evening.
