RED ALERT: Evacuation Notices issued for several Divisional Secretariats

A Level 3 evacuation warning has been issued for several areas due to the prevailing emergency situation.

In the Kandy District, evacuation instructions apply to Ganga Ihala Korale, Thumpane, Medadumbara, Akurana, Kundasale, Udunuwara, Doluwa, Ududumbara, Pathahewaheta, Harispattuwa, Minipe, Gangawata Korale, Pasbage Korale, Panvila, Hatharaliyadda, Yatinuwara, Pathadumbara, Deltota, Poojapitiya and Udapalatha.

In the Kegalle District, the affected areas include Warakapola, Aranayaka, Galigamuwa, Rambukkana, Bulathkohupitiya, Yatiyanthota, Mawanella and Kegalle.

In the Kurunegala District, evacuation applies to Rideegama, Polgahawela, Mallawapitiya, Alawwa and Mawathagama.

In the Matale District, the order covers Yatawatta, Matale, Ambanganga Korale, Pallepola, Laggala Pallegama, Rattota, Naula, Ukuwela and Wilgamuwa.

The public is urged to evacuate immediately and follow instructions issued by authorities
