COLOMBO (News 1st); A discussion to investigate the damage caused to the industrial sector by the current disaster situation was held under the leadership of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake along with officials from the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development and the Ministry of Finance.
During the meeting, officials presented statistical data on the damage incurred to the industries due to the disaster situation.
According to the President's Media Division a proposal for the revitalization of the industrial sector was also handed over to the President during the discussion.
Potential relief measures that could be provided to industrialists were also extensively discussed.
The discussion was joined by the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Sunil Handunnetti, Deputy Minister, Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Presidential Secretary, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayaka and the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, among others.
