COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Railways says a special inspection was carried out in Kadugannawa along the Colombo–Kandy railway line.
The inspection was conducted to determine whether there was any risk of landslides or rockfalls in the vicinity.
A joint team comprising officials from the Department of Railways and the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) carried out the assessment.
The Department of Railways stated that the inspection revealed no identified risks to the railway line in that area.
