Beware of Fake Social Media Schemes Using CBSL Logo

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has issued an urgent warning to the public about fraudulent individuals and groups misusing the Bank’s official logo to promote fake business ventures on social media.

CBSL clarified that it has no connection whatsoever with these schemes and urged citizens to remain vigilant to avoid falling victim to scams that could result in financial loss.

The warning comes amid a surge in online scams targeting unsuspecting users through deceptive branding and false promises of investment opportunities.
