More Ammunition Recovered Near Popular Bathing Spot

COLOMBO (News 1st); Anuradhapura’s law enforcement has uncovered yet another significant cache of ammunition during a special operation near the Hurulu Wewa bathing area. 

The operation, carried out yesterday (13) evening by officers of the Anuradhapura Police Special Task Force (STF), was part of a continued search following a previous discovery at the same location on the 11th.

During that sweep, officers recovered 46 rounds of T-56 ammunition, 12 GPMG rounds, and 8 empty 9mm bullet cases. 

Police confirmed that the operation was launched after the earlier recovery raised suspicions of additional hidden caches in the vicinity.
