Ministry of Public Security Trains 300 New Counselors to Strengthen Drug Prevention and Rehabilitation Efforts

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs has taken steps to train new counselors for drug prevention.

The Ministry stated that the training program was conducted to enhance the capacity of 300 new counselors engaged in drug prevention activities.

The program was carried out under the guidance of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board, which operates under the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs.

The Ministry further noted that preliminary measures have already been initiated to expand treatment, rehabilitation, and counseling services for individuals addicted to drugs across the island.
