One Dead and Over 500 Affected by Heavy Rainfall in Several Districts

COLOMBO (News 1st): One person has died, and 512 others have been affected due to the heavy rainfall experienced across several districts during the past 24 hours.

According to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), the affected individuals belong to 123 families.

The adverse weather conditions have mainly impacted the districts of Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, and Gampaha.

A total of 111 houses have been partially damaged, while 10 individuals from three families have been relocated to safe shelters.
