30-Hour Water Cut in Several Galle District Areas

COLOMBO (News 1st): The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 30-hour water supply interruption in several areas of the Galle District.

According to the NWSDB, water supply will be suspended from 8:00 a.m. today until 2:00 p.m. tomorrow. 

The affected areas include Bope, Poddala, Akmeemana, and Rathgama.

Residents in the Ahangama area will continue to receive water under low-pressure conditions.

The NWSDB explained that the disruption is necessary to carry out essential repairs on the main pipeline supplying water to the Galle-Hapugala water treatment facility.
