Suspect Arrested with Over 9kg of Hashish in Grandpass

COLOMBO (News 1st): During a raid conducted by the Colombo Crimes Division near the Sirimuthu Uyana housing complex in Grandpass, an individual was arrested with 9 kilograms and 555 grams of hashish.

Police said that the suspect, a 27-year-old resident of Colombo 14, was taken into custody.

The seized narcotics have an estimated street value of approximately Rs. 70 million.

Authorities also confiscated Rs. 1,685,000 in cash from the suspect’s possession.

The suspect is currently being interrogated under detention orders.
