IGP Orders Sudden Transfer of Mount Lavinia OIC

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Mount Lavinia Police Station has been transferred to the Medical Services Division with immediate effect.

The transfer of OIC H.T.M. Thushara was carried out on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) with the approval of the National Police Commission.

The IGP has also informed the Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) in charge of the Western Province to appoint a suitable officer to cover duties at the Mount Lavinia Police Station until a permanent replacement is made.
