Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa Returns Bulletproof Vehicle

COLOMBO (News 1st); Media Spokesperson of Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa Attorney Manoj Gamage said that the bulletproof vehicle used by Former President Mahinda Rajapakse has been handed over to the government. 

The spokesperson noted that the vehicle was returned in line with the Act pertaining to removing certain entitlements of former presidents as per the announcement by The Presidential Secretariat in line with the Act on the removal of entitlements of former presidents.

Attorney Manoj Gamage said that discussions are expected with relevant officials, including the Defence Minister, regarding vehicles needed for the transport of security personnel, ensuring the continued protection of the Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
