VAT Registration Now Only Via Online

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Inland Revenue Department has announced that all applications for both temporary and permanent Value Added Tax (VAT) registration must be submitted exclusively through their e-service platform.

According to a statement from the department, no written applications for VAT registration will be accepted after August 31st.

Accordingly, anyone seeking temporary or permanent VAT registration must complete the process online.
