Tenders Called for Renovation of Colombo Fort Railway Station

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation announced that tenders have been called for the renovation of the Colombo Fort Railway Station.

The project, supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), aims to transform the Fort Railway Station into a modern transport hub equipped with upgraded facilities.

According to the Ministry, the estimated cost of the renovation is Rs. 1,395 million, and the project is expected to be completed within 15 months.

Tenders have already been invited, and development work is scheduled to commence by the end of this year.
