Bumper To Bumper Traffic In Borella

COLOMBO (News 1st); Motorists traveling from Borella Model Farm Junction towards the D.S. Senanayake Junction in the direction of Colombo are experiencing significant traffic delays due to a road cave in.

According to police sources, a section of the road has caved in, causing a partial obstruction to vehicular movement. Authorities are currently assessing the situation and working to restore normal traffic flow.

In the meantime, police have advised drivers to use alternative routes to avoid congestion and ensure safety.

News 1st correspondents on the ground report that vehicles traveling towards Colombo via Castle Street are being diverted at Kanatte Junction. Meanwhile, traffic on the newly opened alternate lane along Castle Street is being rerouted towards Borella Junction.
