26 Injured as SLTB Bus Crashes Off Road in Monaragala

COLOMBO (News 1st); At least 26 passengers were injured after a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus veered off the road and crashed in the Domabagahawela 31 Junction area along the Monaragala–Siyambalanduwa road, police confirmed.

According to authorities, the accident occurred when the bus lost control, skidded off the roadway, and became lodged in a roadside ditch. 

The impact left multiple passengers injured.

The injured were swiftly transported to the Monaragala District Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. 

Police stated that the bus involved in the accident was operating a scheduled route from Monaragala to Kotiyagala at the time of the incident.
